Koester - swelling tape based on Quellband bentonite

Swelling tape based on sodium bentonite. Equipped with a protective filter on the surface that is activated by an alkaline environment. Its purpose is to delay the swelling of the tape by 2-3 days so that it does not swell before concreting.

Properties

• upon contact with fresh concrete at the construction site, the tape will swell, which results in sealing the working gap in concreting
• swelling of the tape begins only after concreting
• easy assembly
• no special tools needed
• permanent and effective sealing of the working joint during concreting
• the surface of the tape is not sticky even at high temperatures
• the material does not age
• swelling may occur even after several years in contact with water

Application

• permanent sealing of working joints in concrete
• sealing vertical gaps (wall / wall)
• sealing horizontal joints (slab / slab, slab / wall, wall / ceiling, ceiling / ceiling)
• the tape should be fixed in the working gap just before concreting (not earlier than 2-3 days)
