Product description
RAVATHERM ™ XPS-G 700 SL blue extruded polystyrene foam allows its use in many applications due to the favorable properties of the product with a closed-neck structure such as:
- Water and freezing resistance,
- Longevity of maintaining insulation properties,
- High stiffness,
- Dimensional stability,
- Resistance to rot and decay,
- Easy and quick installation with a small amount of waste in.
RAVATHERM XPS-G 700 SL provides excellent thermal insulation for use in applications such as
roofs
- with inverted layer system
- green roofs
- terrace roofs
- roof car parks
- many roofs
- renovations and additional roofs
Basements, basements
- basement walls
- basement of walls exposed to water
- basements and basement floors
- swimming pools
- frost protection
flooring
- standard floors
- refrigerators and freezers
- bottom of the pool in
Thermal insulation RAVATHERM XPS-G 700 SL is produced in the production process of extrusion, as a result of which a homogeneous structure of the closed cell material is created, ensuring many beneficial properties:
- High insulation values guaranteed over a long period of time
- Water and freeze resistance
- High pressure resistance
- High elastic stability
- High resistance to water vapor diffusion
- This makes the product usable in many demanding applications listed below.
Durability
The inverted roof system is a proven solution for flat roofs that has been used for decades. The use of XPS has a long tradition in Europe, and samples of the material taken from the project, implemented several decades ago, have shown that XPS maintains the insulation, strength and dimensional stability properties.
Inverted Roof app
RAVATHERM XPS-G 700 SL in this application is placed in layers by spreading on waterproofing without gluing and is weighted with a layer of ballast, which is usually a layer of gravel ensuring the required stability under the influence of wind and rainfall. In the case of inverted roofs due to the aspect of vapor diffusion occurring in the open layer construction requires the use of XPS insulation. For utility roofs, it is recommended to use a diffusion layer (at least 2-5 cm of gravel, crushed stone, etc.) between thermal insulation and a layer of soil, tiles, concrete slabs.
flooring
In the case of a base of compacted stone or lean concrete, RAVATHERM XPS-G 700 SL boards should be laid directly on the leveled surface, which can be obtained by sanding, if necessary, additional leveling. If the thermal insulation is installed above the waterproofing layer, it also serves as protection against mechanical damage. For ordinary floors or floors with underfloor heating, thermal insulation is the perfect foundation for concrete (screed) and underfloor heating, where heating pipes can be attached directly to thermal insulation. It is recommended to use PE foil between the layers of thermal insulation and concrete (screed) sliding between them. It is recommended to use additional sound insulation when building floors inside buildings.
