Product description
The circular chimney draft regulator is used to reduce excessive pressure in chimney flues, which:
- occurs despite the correct estimation of the cross-sectional area of the chimney flue,
- occurs when the cross-sectional area of the flue pipe is too large
- is caused by temporary changes in atmospheric factors, e.g. a gust of wind.
The throttle in the Draft Regulator is balanced so that excessive pressure in the chimney duct causes the damper to open, which causes air to flow into the chimney.
This reduces the vacuum by:
- cooling exhaust gases, consequently reducing draft,
- increasing the resistance in the flow - the flue gas duct and flue gas must also transport air.
The change of the vacuum set on the regulator of the vacuum is done by changing the balance of the throttle, which is done using the knob. The scale for adjusting the vacuum is marked on the knob, the mark indicates the currently set vacuum value.
The RCO-EX regulator additionally has an explosion-proof system, which, in the event of a sudden, significant increase in pressure in the per-chimney installation (e.g. gas explosion in the flue gas in the chimney or connection) opens the face of the regulator giving gas outlet from the chimney. This solution prevents damage to the chimney or stove.
